Steps

  1. 1

Grind 100 g of coffee extra coarse — like raw sugar — and add it to a large jar.

  2. 2

Pour in 800 g of cold filtered water and stir once so every ground is wet.

  3. 3

Cover and steep in the fridge for 12–18 hours — longer for a stronger, bolder concentrate.

  4. 4

Strain through a paper filter or fine mesh into a clean jar — don't squeeze the grounds.

  5. 5

To serve, dilute the concentrate about 1:1 with water or milk over ice, and adjust to taste.
