Finca Corahe

Zentla, Veracruz, Mexico

Finca Corahe sits in Zentla, Veracruz, in central Mexico, between 1,000 and 1,400 meters above sea level. Its name — CORAHE — stands for Córdova Arroyo Hermanos, honoring the family's father and grandfather.

Heritage

Coffee arrived with the great-grandfather, an Italian immigrant who settled in Veracruz in the 19th century. The knowledge passed down through the generations to the current producers — the third generation: seven siblings who tend the farm today.

Varieties & process

The farm grows varieties including Sarchimor, Caturra, Typica, Castillo and Colombia. The family developed its own natural honey process — a water-free dehydration that brings out the cherry's sweet notes.
