Finca El Cachichin
Villanueva, Misantla, Veracruz, Mexico

Finca El Cachichin sits in Villanueva, Misantla, on the slopes of the Sierra de Misantla in central Veracruz — one of Mexico’s older coffee regions, where shade-grown coffee has long shared the forest canopy with native trees.
The farm takes its name from the cachichín (Oecopetalum mexicanum), an edible fruit-bearing tree of Totonac heritage native to the Sierra. Cachichín forests grow alongside traditional shade-coffee plantations, lending the region a distinctive ecology and cultural identity.
