Finca Las Chicharras — “the cicadas” — rests in the highlands of Ángel Albino Corzo, Chiapas, not far from the Guatemalan border. Purchased by E-Café Chiapas in 2015, the farm rose from a new acquisition to a Cup of Excellence winner in just three years.
Location & Altitude
Spanning more than 150 hectares, Las Chicharras climbs to nearly 1,600 meters above sea level at its highest point. Coffee trees are rooted in clay soils and typically flower from March through June.
